  • What is an easy way for managing the amount of products sold and money made? (For hair salons)?

Do you know what I mean. Like you put the stuff on disply, but is there an easy way of managing what is being sold, made etc. What is an easy way for managing the amount of products sold and money made? (For hair salons)?
Sure. Make a chart of products, and mark off what is sold, as it's purchased by each customer. Put the chart in a notebook or on a clipboard and have it near the register. You can also do a chart for money received for services, or just mark it down in a little planner book. You know, the kind of planner that has appointment listings pre-printed in there. Each week, add it all up, and you'll already know what you need to get from the beauty supply house, to replace the items purchased the previous week.

What affordable salons in GREENBELT 3, Makati can you recommend for hair and make-up?

We're only willing to pay Php500-800. This is for a friend's debut. =)What affordable salons in GREENBELT 3, Makati can you recommend for hair and make-up?
i'm afraid that the salons in greenbelt 3 are quite upscale. you might have a hard time finding hair and make up services within that price range.

try looking for other salons within the area that are not inside the malls. they are really pricey in there.

Is there a website to help locate hair salons and/or places to have alterations?

So far I've been at a loss for booking a hair stylist and someone to alter my dress. Is there a website that you can type in a zip code or city and it will give you a list of possible businesses? If there's one with reviews, that would be great! Also any tips about selecting a hair stylist or seamstress??Is there a website to help locate hair salons and/or places to have alterations?
When I was engaged I was registered at www.theknot.com They have TON of stuff and you should be able to get all the things you need there. I didn't need any of it hehe but good luck!Is there a website to help locate hair salons and/or places to have alterations?

Do hair salons wash your hair in branded shampoo or any old stuff?

Whenever i go to the salon, they have bottles all lined up along the shelves, like ghd and wella.

But do salons really use expensive lotions and potions on our hair or rubbish stuff?

Anyone care to reveal all?Do hair salons wash your hair in branded shampoo or any old stuff?
depends on the salon, i used to work for regis and they use their own stuff which is pricey but all the other salons have used cheap stuff they normally but big containers and fill smaller bottles up, when i was growning up i always used stores own branded stuff now im older iv used lots of different expensive stuff and find the stores own left my hair in better conditionDo hair salons wash your hair in branded shampoo or any old stuff?
I work in a Paul Mitchell salon and we only use Paul Mitchell products, and it is really Paul Mitchell products. Salons usually use what brand they are. Redken salons WILL use Redken products. Trust me, if it is a good salon, they are going to use the real stuff on you because they really want to make your hair look good, it's how they make their living. If you don't like your hair, you won't come back. Simple as that.
I work in a hairdressers, and we use a product called Goldwell, which is used in alot of salons. A small bottle can set you back around 拢7, so in mine we definatly dont use any cheap old stuff- we fill up the bottles on the side with big catons of the stuff which i asume most salons do.
My salon uses Wella Professional and then they sell it to you for the bargain price of about 拢8 per bottle. Well they try to sell it, anyway. I bought it once and it is the same stuff they use to wash my hair. It's lovely and smells gorgeous but can't afford 拢8 on shampoo!
my salon has its own brand thats all i know, their shampoos are great.
They use the cheap stuff but they make sure it has a nice smell......
my friend works in Toni %26amp; Guy, and the stylists there must buy their own shampoo and conditioner. Because they are on such a low wage, they buy 1 bottle of good stuff, and fill it up with tesco value/asda smartprice shampoo and conditioner. She says all the stylists do it.

Another reason why i dont go to Toni %26amp; Guy :]

My salon use fudge and matrix product, the best 2 in my opinion!

    xx
Maybe some do but the one I went to a while ago I spotted these huge bottles and it smelt lovely, I thought ';wow that must be so dear'; and then I saw it in town for 拢2 per bottle.
    they use the good stuff.
They may not use the most expensive brand they carry but they make sure to use good stuff. They know it's about the ingredients more than the brand name or price. They want you walking out feeling like your hair is spectacular so you'll come back.

Often they will use something they are trying to sell. Besides it's not so expensive for them. They can buy in bulk and everything they sell is marked up from the price they paid.

Anyway, they will never get offended if you ask what they used. Especially if you indicate that you are asking because it looks good and you want to know how to do the exact same thing. Even feel free to ask for styling tips, like how they are curling it or getting it to look that way. They'll be helpful, it is good for bussiness if you feel you hair looks good every day, not just the day you are there.
My salon uses the expensive stuff. They are trying to get you to buy it.
the one i work in uses paul mitchell products, which are well good.

but some just use like tesco own brand D:
    Heyah

Most salons use expensive products as they are trying to get you to buy them and you obviously want to c the effects urself!!!!!

If they don't use the expensive stuff then to b honest they are quite cheap!!

    Hope I Helped

    Merry xmas =)
Hi I know what you mean, often I have been to the hairdresser and they use the stuff that comes in like 4 litre bottles the shampoo is usually green and the condtioner is pink they have it in sallys, I dont know weather they use the same in alll salons as, I went to another one and I dont know what they used but it was fantastic and left my hair really soft and slilky.

If they are in big pumpy bottle I doubt that its ghd or really expensive stuff, it will be only made for salons but I dont think they will get some one in to squeeze expensive shampoos and condtioners into large bottles for them to use but whi knows,

How much should I tip nail salons?

I'm 16 and I don't have a job, and I sometimes get my nails done at the nail salon. I always get the simple acrylic white tip, which is $25. I feel guilty when I don't tip (usually because I don't have a lot of extra money on me), so how much should I start tipping? How much should I tip nail salons?
A few dollars is acceptable, but only if they do a good job.How much should I tip nail salons?
When I get my nails filled... I always give between a $5-$10 dollar tip depending on how well they do.
Try for 15%. They will probably recognize that you are young and forgive you if it's a little under.
where I go its $30 for acrylic/gel tips and I usually give $4 or $5 for tip..if they do a really good job then $6 but usually it's just a quick half hour so it's not like I need to pay them for a ton of time. I'm 18 and have been getting my nails done for 3 years now.
Take Like 3 Extra Dollers On You B4 You Leave

Then, Check If You Have The 3 Dollars Left Over, If You Do, Then Tip Them

I Usually Tip Them That Much

    Sometimes, I Give Them 5
well wene i get my eyebrows threaded i usually pay about 8$ so i tip them about 5 bucks...
20% is a good tip. For $25, that is $4 or $5. If you don't have a lot of extra cash, I'd suggest getting a regular manicure without the acrylic. It is a lot less expensive ($10 or $12), so the tip is less ($2). If you're worried about the regular manicure chipping, you can buy a jar of clear nailpolish at the drugstore for a few bucks, and put another clear coat over the ends of your nails a few times a week. This makes the manicure last a lot longer.
well try giving them something not like a dollar..
You are young I would recommend 10% to 15%.

20% for a good job done is always appreciated. I have see them being paid up to 50%.

Do you think those spray tans at salons look okay?

I want to get one 'cause I want to take some topless photos for my bf as a gift! If it's not perfect, I don't think it would show. Can they adjust how dark you want it? Is it okay to do topless with like a thong on, are they used to that?Do you think those spray tans at salons look okay?
I get spray tans quite a bit for weddings and parties. They can be really good but make sure you go to a reputable salon who will fix any mistakes or patches that may occur.

EDIT You can have it as dark or a light as you like and they will spray you in your thong or whatever you chose to wear.Do you think those spray tans at salons look okay?
no i usually end up really orange out of nowhere...(it shows up a few hours later) and there is usually streak marks, also if u dont have ur belly button peirced it will stain in there for a while and leave a mark between your chest. it looks very unnatural i bought i package of 11 and still have like 5 left from a yr ago cause i dont think they are worth using. you cannot adjust the darkness. you dont get sprayed by a person its a machine and u go all the way naked, its pretty awkward and realyl cold!

What salons in the atlanta area offer free cut and styles for locks of love donations?

This will be the third time I donate my hair to locks of love. They used to post a list of salons that gave a discount/incentive for donation and they don't any more. The first stylist I went to is no longer listed and the second salon did not impress me. I realize that haircuts aren't necesarily free, but i know there must be people out there who are comitted to helping potential donators. I love donating whenever possible (usually takes me about 2 years to grow 10 inches) but I can't afford an expensive haircut and I need someone who knows what they're doing to help my crazy curly hair *Not* look like a puff ball when it's cut! What salons in the atlanta area offer free cut and styles for locks of love donations?
Please do NOT donate your hair to ';Locks of Love';. They are a complete scam ! Check out give.org's take on them:

    http://www.give.org/reports/care2_dyn.as鈥?/a>

Locks of love made only 113 wigs in an entire year, they SELL the majority of the hair received (for extensions) and they do not allow for independent auditing of their financial records. Who knows where the money from selling hair really goes to, somebody's pocket perhaps ?

A lot of hair doesn't even make it Locks of Love, type in ';human hair ponytail'; on EBay and look at all those listings. That hair is being sold to hair fetishists.

    If you don't mind your hair ending up on Paris Hilton's back or sold to a pervert though ....... go ahead and ';donate';

Is it alright to go to tanning salons during pregnancy?

During my pregnancy I went to the tanning beds a lot and I got a bikini wax every week.Is it alright to go to tanning salons during pregnancy?
    i dont think its safe..

    heres some info on it.

http://www.tanning-advisor.com/pregnancy鈥?/a>Is it alright to go to tanning salons during pregnancy?
I wouldnt recommend it although my OB said it was ok. I didnt feel comfortable doing it. I tried the tan mist but I think due to my hormones, it ended up looking unnatural when I looked at my pics (i went to a wedding)... I think certain chemicals will react differently on your skin due to hormones and such. But you can always just try the ones in the bottle... I use Loreal Sublime bronze and it is very good. It looks natural. Try it and you will see. But as for tanning bed, I wouldnt recommend it.... I wouldnt risk it.
hey hun. Actually your supposed to avoid extremes while pregnant because your throwing off your homeostasis so much. I used to work in a tanning salon while I was in high school and we had strict rules against pregnant ladies tanning b/c of the risk of over-heating. I don't know what state you live in but most NYS tanning salons prohibit pregnant ladies from tanning. With all that being said I don't think that there is a huge chance something could go wrong but people just want to be safer than sorry u know?! GOOD LUCK HUN!!!

ps...thankfully spring is right around the corner and we will be getting more sunny days!!
    hiya

not sure about tanning don't know if there is any real evidence on wether its any worse for you while pregnant than not. The only thing i could think of is the pigments of your skin so you could end up with darker blotchy patches but the same goes if you go out in the sun. Don't think docs recommend it at all! as for the waxing iv been told that it dosent cause any harm while pregnant.
I've heard both that it's safe and unsafe. I personally wouldn't do it. Plus tanning during pregnancy is a bad idea in general because a lot of women experience such shifts in hormones that your skin will get dark and blotchy after exposure to UV rays.
where i live they dont allow pregnant women to tan. its a state law i believe

im pretty sure they do it for overheating reasons

im not sure if its totally safe.

plus it might be hard for you to get in and out of the bed or for the bed to even close all the way - depending on the bed you use
i don't think ur suppose to tan while pregnant. I think u should call ur doc and ask them if its alright to tan while pregnant. I don't think there is anything wrong with the bikini wax but the tanning needs to stop
My doc said no, as you can over heat yourself which can be harmful to your baby.

  • Those who are experience with nail salons I have a question?

I have acrylic nails on and my real nail underneath is about the same length. Can I have them remove the fake nail and still fill my real nail like with acrylic? Those who are experience with nail salons I have a question?
to be honest... the better thing to do is to just wait till the fake part grows off. and when u go back to the nail shop get them to cut a little bit down everytime u go. then thats saves u from having to take all the acrylic off and messing up your real nails. Those who are experience with nail salons I have a question?
    No.

They ';fill'; in the acrylic because your real nail has grown out (or has lifted) so they need to refill the area between the acrylic and your cuticles.

If it's just your real nail, there is nothing to refill. Your nail just grows out.

If you want to keep the length of your real nail but want to make them stronger, ask for a silk wrap or gel. This way they don't have to do the long fake tips.

Why is tanning lotion at tanning salons so freaking expensive?

I tan at Planet Tan here in Dallas, Texas. I ran out of lotion today, so I had to buy new lotion. When I went up there, the girl working there showed me all the different types of lotions and they all ranged anywhere from $60 to $80!!! I bought a new bottle of lotion for $81 ... and that was 25% off.Why is tanning lotion at tanning salons so freaking expensive?
Because one it it either really good stuff or two they get you because you believe it is really good stuff. Why is tanning lotion at tanning salons so freaking expensive?
GO ON EBAY. They have every lotion you could possibly want at prices ridiculously lower than salon prices. Pay with paypal; it's safe and secure. The savings are unreal. I buy all my lotions off ebay. The most I've ever spent is like $30 on a lotion before and that was for a really good one!
Because in order for you to tan you need tanning lotion .. and they know a lot of people tan so thats why they raise the prices.

there are no safe tanning salons !I work the graveyard shift and start looking pretty pale. What is a safe amount of time to go tanning in salons?
Just use a fake tan... I like jergens, in a tanning salon people die from skin cancerI work the graveyard shift and start looking pretty pale. What is a safe amount of time to go tanning in salons?
Okay first of all, Dont be fooled when people advise to go lay outside instead of tanning bed because its ';safer';. Simply put, The same thing that comes out of the sun to make you tan, is what comes out of tanning beds. Both emit UVA and UVB rays. UVA rays are known as the bronzing rays, and UVB are the burn rays. The good thing about indoor tanning is that you can control your time in each bed and customize it to be sure you do not burn.

All tanning beds are different. The lower level beds have a high burn rate, and as you go up in levels, that burn rate goes down. I recommend going in a higher level or High Pressure bed, if available. If you insist on doing a low level bed BE SURE to start out very slow, meaning very short tan times. If you go too long and burn, you will only have to wait till it goes away to tan again.

Depending on what level bed you decide to do, you are going to need to ask the employee a couple questions. Find out how new the lamps in the beds are. If they are new, you will burn a lot quicker then if they were older. If the lamps are pretty average, we usually recommend to do half of what the maximum time on the bed is. It also depends on your skin type. If you are olive-toned you could probably do almost full time in a high level bed right away. If you are a redhead with very very pale skin, you should probably start out doing the minimum they allow you to.
No time is safe, any amount of time will damage your skin. Just go outside in the sun (in sun block) when its your day off while its still summer.

How do i get light brown hightlights on dark brown hair at home? i've had bad experience at hair salons!!?

Hello! I was just looking to see if anyone had any good advice for home coloring. I have medium to dark brown hair and would like subtle light brown highlights that i can do myself. Thanks so much for any help! How do i get light brown hightlights on dark brown hair at home? i've had bad experience at hair salons!!?
You can't.How do i get light brown hightlights on dark brown hair at home? i've had bad experience at hair salons!!?
You won't get a better result at home. Dark hair turns red w/ lighter color'. Great......... if that's what you want, but, if you want light brown, it's a two step process, best left to the professionals.

I suggest that you go to the grocery store or somewhere pretty populated, and look for black ladies who are wearing weave and just ask them. There should be a salon that does sew-ins in indianapolis. There just has to be. The thing is that most salons that do it don't advertise. Is there any great hair salons that do extensions in indianapolis?

  • Why do a lot of White people go to tanning salons?

Are they ashamed of their original skin color? Why are they trying to be something they are not?Why do a lot of White people go to tanning salons?
Actually, it's a status thing. A century ago, and for many centuries before, it was in to have pale skin. You were beautiful if you were very fair. This is because it signified that you were rich. If you were rich, you didn't work outside and so you didn't have a tan. Poor people who had to do hard labor all had tans.

Then in the 1920s, it changed. Coco Chanel got a suntan while vacationing. Suddenly, tans signified wealth because it meant you could afford to take vacations and lounge around on beaches all day. So that's why today, people think that tans are attractive, while pale skin is not.

I am very white and don't tan much, but simply because I really don't have the time or patience to sit outside in the sun and sweat, and I don't really feel like paying people so I can get skin cancer. However, I do like to have a little bit of a glow during the summer, because tans never fade 100% during the winter and I tend to have pasty, see-through legs. Why do a lot of White people go to tanning salons?
People like what they like. If you like tanning, then you like tanning. If you don't want to tan, then don't tan. Don't get so hung up on what other people are doing. You decide for yourself. Don't assume people are trying to be something they are not.

People go to indoor tanning studios for many reasons: 1) cosmetic tan, 2) they have seasonal affectiveness disorder (SAD), 3) they have skin conditions like acne, psoriasis, or eczema, 4) for Vitamin D, which your body does not absorb enough through food/supplements, 5) it's faster than outside, 6) it's more controlled than outside because outside you have to deal with weather, time of day, time of year, how close are you to the equator, etc., 7) people build up tolerance for vacations, 8) to relax, 9) for back pain, or 10) it simply makes them feel better.

Many, many reasons. And not just ';white'; people, all ethnicities, all skin types, male, female, all ages.
Because the ';in'; was to have that ';naturally'; glowing skin, which = tanned to the bone. It was the stereotype of all ages that people with tanned skin are more beautiful.

I know a lot of girls go because they think they look ';weird'; without the tan.

    I think tans are just another way of saying, ';Here you go body, more ways to destroy the body.';
tanned skin gives the illusion of thinner body... that is why weight lifters tan so much... it shows definition. tanned skin also gives the illusion of a healthy body. pale skin seems to look a bit sickly. tanned skin also boosts self esteem... it's a proven fact.
the grass is always greener on the other side

just deal with it, nobody's ever happy with what they have

besides, in india, everyone wants to be fair, and they have a product called fair %26amp; lovely
A study was done recently on skin colour preferences and it was found that across all races the vast majority of people preferred a light brown skin tone instead of a pale or black skin tone. Check it out for yourself:)
just as being thin is apart of ';the image'; right now,

so is being tan. thin and tan proves some ';elegance'; and is found apparently attractive.

    :) hope it helps.
no we're not ashamed of our skin color. and we're not trying to change it. If we were we would make it permanent. why do Black people bleach their skin? are they ashamed?
Why do curly-hair people get their hair straightened and vice versa? Why do tall people wish they were short and vice versa? Take your pick.
    TO GET TAN !

But really some people like the way there skin looks when it's little tanner because it may make there eyes, hair, cloths etc.stand out more.
wtf... well because some white people are so naturally pale they look sick. a tan looks cute and healthy. why do black people bleach their skin and wear fake hair? which is f`ckin ridiculus.
No, darker skin gives of a slimmer appearance. and I've met quite a few black people who bleach their skin.
Because some people love skin cancer and wrinkles and they don't realize how stupid they look with a fake tan.
to try and make there skin look healthier but some go to extremes and look orange hihi
Because its cold as f*ck outside!
    to get tan.. durr

and the sun does the same thing smart one. its not like its super unnatural.

Evening a tan line within a week or two without tanning salons or other products?

I have one of those tans where my legs are darker than my feet. It really bugs me!

I have to even it out soon for a promotion ceremony in a couple of weeks. I can't use tanning salons or products because of my parents. And the weather has been anything but sunny for the last few days.

How can I even it out soon?Evening a tan line within a week or two without tanning salons or other products?
Without any products, the only thing I can think of is to exfoliate your legs to lighten them up to match your feet. Your tan may fade anyway if you're waiting a few weeks....

Where can i get that same blow dryer that the beauty salons use?

i had just got a perm done saturday at the salon and i need to know where can i get that same blow dyer at stores it's the one with the comb attached. I need to know what stores to go to (not where i have to order online) and how much thanks!Where can i get that same blow dryer that the beauty salons use?
You can actually pick those up at Target, K-Mart, Meijer... those kind of places. If your looking for a diffuser, (that's an attatchment you put on your blowdryer for drying curly hair in it's curly shape without making it frizzy) then try a beauty supply store. They are anywhere from $5-15. A GOOD proffessional blow dryer will run you anywhere from $50-$200 and can only be purchased at a beauty supply store. Be careful though, sometimes they mark the cost up if you don't have a cosmetology license.Where can i get that same blow dryer that the beauty salons use?
Go to a salon and buy one a salon like Ulta.
There is acuttaly a store called Sallys. It sells salon products. If you sont have one near where you live, look in the phone book under salon products. GOOD LUCK!!!!!!

How much do tanning Salons Usually cost?

What's the average of the prices to tan at salons? How much do tanning Salons Usually cost?
At club tan you can have a 1 year unlimited pass for $99(until feb. 14th)... You shouldn't tan for the whole year though.

p.s. if you live in a rainy area don't get a tan because it will make you look weird. How much do tanning Salons Usually cost?
im not sure ow much they cost but i really am answering to say that tanning is unhealthy. Im not trying to get you mad or annoyed at me but i just wanted to advise you so you don't get skin cancer =/ i wouldn't do it often if you decide to do it though!!
Around where I live $35-$60/month or $5-$15 per individual visit to just try it out.

    Don't go.
$5-7 dollars for one time. But you can also get a monthly membership for $20.00
around the orlando area its about $9 for a single level one tan.
Depends on where you live and if spray or if its the bed tan thing. Hope that helped!!

  • Would you consider tanning salons to border being addictive?

And how do people justify paying $100 for a small bottle of tanning lotion?Would you consider tanning salons to border being addictive?
Thank God I'm Chicano, I don't need a tanning salon or lotion.Would you consider tanning salons to border being addictive?

I have a question for people who go to tanning salons?

I have been wanting to get a little more color before summer starts, but I'm hesitant.

    1) I'm really pale, and so a lot of my veins show through my skin on my chest, legs, etc. Will the appearance of those diminish at all if I tan?

    2) How long to tanning booth tans last usually?

    3) I know when I tan in the sun, I get freckles on my face which I love. Will those show up if I tan with a tanning booth?

    4) How many trips to the salon does it generally take to get a healthy, not-overdone tan?I have a question for people who go to tanning salons?
    1) yes, having a tan will diminish the appearance of the veins, depending on how dark u get

    2) it depends really...some people just hold the color longer than others...however long your outdoor tan lasts is basically how long your indoor tan will last...so if u tend to fade quickly from tanning outside, the same will probably happen when u get a tan from the bed

    3) it`s the same...if u are prone to freckling when u have sun exposure, then it`s gonna happen even using the bed

    4) start out at a short length of time, maybe about 5 min, %26amp; provided all goes well, gradually move up by a min or 2 as u go...if u go 3 or 4 times per week, i think it would take 3 or 4 weeks for u to get a good color

remember to exfoliate %26amp; moisturize your skin...exfoliation %26amp; hydration help keep your color looking nice...moisturized skin helps deter wrinkles %26amp; tans much better!!! u can talk to the salon staff %26amp; let them explain the products they carry...there are regular, accelerator, amplifier, bronzer %26amp; tingle lotions...i would not recommend using a tingle lotion straight off, as they are very powerful %26amp; with your pale skin, u would probably end up with a nasty burn!!! however, after u have a bit of a base tan (as long as u don`t have sensitive skin), i highly recommend the tingle lotions as they give your color a big boost...they really help u get dark

hope this helps!!! happy tanning!!!I have a question for people who go to tanning salons?
if you're hesitant about tanning beds (uv rays) try the spray-on tans, no not the self applied store boughten ones, the salon administered ones : )
    1. your vains may not show as badly.

    2. depends, mine usually last a couple of weeks

    3. yes, a tanning booth will pretty much do the same as the sun

    4. well, you hafta start out slow other wise you'll fry, so prolly bout 5-8 times depending on how long you go for, how easily you tan, how good your accelerator is, and how well you stay moisturized.
so blessed here... tan all over naturally!
yes you should go color looks wonderful on everyone =)

1: yes i have some veins that show on my chest and with my tan u dont notice them =)

2: well my tan lasts for about a month after i go for a month straight of tanning

3:um, im not sure i dnt have freckles sryy.

4: for me it only takes about 3 bc i tan very easily.

tips: MAKE SURE to moisturize alot if your skin gets dry sometimes youll peel and lose all your color and it looks gross =) be careful with your face you dont want it to burn so only leave it uncovered for a few mins then cover it with a towel =) and dont take a shower immediatly after tanning wait a few hours for it to settle =)

and maybe you should go about 2-3 times a week to maintan a pretty natural color instead of an over done one that you dont want

they like being orange.. lookinh like oompa loompasWhy do a lot of White people go to tanning salons?
I don't personally go to tanning salons. But the idea of getting a tan isn't about trying to look black, Mediterranean or asian.

Its purely aesthetic, and is based on the myth that a tan makes people look healthier. White people range from swarthy to fair skinned. Fair skinned people will never tan like naturally swarthy people anyway.
Some like tan skin. Think it looks more attractive. I think a natural look is better. I'm Asian, kinda tan... I went to a tanning salon twice in my life to be darker for prom...get rid of tan lines on my shoulders...and all I could think about was how terrible it was. After about 10-15 minutes I wasn't even all that dark! lol
Thats just who they are duh
No. they arent ashamed. like why do we dress certain ways?
we like the look of a healthy tan......now, why do black people use bleaching cream?

Can someone tell me some reasonably priced, good hair salons in the Boston area?

I am looking for a cut and color. I don't want to pay tons of money, but I want them to do a good job. If anyone has any recommendations please let me know. Thanks! Can someone tell me some reasonably priced, good hair salons in the Boston area?
    Hey!

I'm not from Boston, but I've heard great things about Beaucage. They've been in the business forever, and are super friendly.

If you go to the site below and choose Boston, check out their info and see if they are in your price range!

Based on my salons prices how much would thermal straighteing cost you think?

This is what it says on their site-

    Perms $65 and up

    Relaxer $55 and up

    Thermal Straightening System (Consultation)

Does anyone have a guess as how much this would cost? I have thick, curly hair, about 5 inches past my shoulders. I don't want to go in and do consulation becuase I might not have the money.Based on my salons prices how much would thermal straighteing cost you think?
seriously the process is extremely time consuming and usually requires a helper, also understand the education that is required to properly complete the thermal straiting without damage.

look in the range of $400.00 depending on many factors could double or more. My sweety spent over 7,000 dollars on her hair last year for extensions and color.

    Good luck

Why do nail salons have to drill your nail before putting on acrylics?

i don't think i am going to get my nails done anymore b/c it hurts too much! Why do nail salons have to drill your nail before putting on acrylics?
Nail services of any kind should never, ever hurt, or cause discomfort. The truth is that your natural nails do not have to be 'drilled' or roughed up before applying the acrylic. The idea is to help remove the shine from your nail, not take off several layers of it, or cut deeply into your nails. A good tech can and will do your nails, without any pain. It sounds to me as though you went to a discount salon - one that they charge like $25 or less for a full set though I could be wrong. If you did go to one of these salons, my advice is don't return to them. Instead find a reputable nail technician with lots of experience and training. It will cost you more, but the results are well worth the extra money spent. But seriously. Always avoid the discount salons. These people generally don't know how to do nails, and will almost always mess up your natural nails each time you go to one. They aren't very good techs at all.Why do nail salons have to drill your nail before putting on acrylics?
For one thing they don't have to ';drill'; your nail they can use an emery board of some kind. Some places use a drill because it is faster but it can go too deep that is why the pain. The reason this is needed before acrylics is because it helps the product cling to your nail if the shiny top layer is off. That is all they are supposed to do is take the top layer off. If they went further than that ';do not go back';!!!!
They have to fle them so that they arn't so smooth. Its hard to stick a nail to a smooth nail
You mean rough your nails up?...It helps the acrylics stay on..If it bothers you, ask if they can use a file, instead..

Do most beauty salons offer a full bikini wax?

Do most nail salons have nail decals or would I have to go get my own?

I want to get an American manicure and put a nail decal on each of my pointer fingers.Do most nail salons have nail decals or would I have to go get my own?
I would think a lot of the trendier nail salons would have decals, where as the basic salons that are just interested in volume would not. Your best bet would be to talk to ladies that you see that have the decals, and see where they got their nails done, for a personal recommendation.

  • Why do they want to keep the good hairstyling products out of the stores? They just want salons to be able?

to sell the good stuff that actually is good for your hair, or actually works. I would love to be able to buy the same things at my local drug store, or grocery store and not have to pay the high overhead that salons get.Why do they want to keep the good hairstyling products out of the stores? They just want salons to be able?
As a licensed stylist I can tell you they don't sell everything over the counter because the companies want to be sure that customers know exactly how to use the product. If you purchase it at a salon a stylist can tell you how to use it. A worker at Target isn't a licensed professional and can not tell you what to do. Please know that we have to pay higher prices for professional products too. We don't just buy it cheap and raise the price. Why do they want to keep the good hairstyling products out of the stores? They just want salons to be able?
I know same! I hate it i'm always trying to look for good salon products and they sell it no where. :(

How do Beauty Salons do permanent straightenings?

Just curious.. How do they do that? How do Beauty Salons do permanent straightenings?
they use a perm solution and instead of curling it they brush it out.How do Beauty Salons do permanent straightenings?
They actually use a type of gel and mineral spray that locks each straightened lock of hair down. Hope this helps :D
they go to curl your hair, with all of the toxic chemicals and all that, but they dont put the rollers in. You still have to put your head in a sink for over 2 hours, but your hair comes out straight instead of curly.
chemicals...alot alot of chemicals go into your hair and make it that way. %26amp; you need to use a special shampoo and conditioner and everything. around where i live, it costs around $300 to do your hair ; depending on the amount.

What does tier mean in relation to hair salons?

I was looking at the prices on Statements Salon website and they keep going up depending on tier. So what does it mean? Thanks for the help :]What does tier mean in relation to hair salons?
cut or scissorsWhat does tier mean in relation to hair salons?
I believe, that ';tiers'; mean the level of education and or experience the stylist has, meaning that the longer the stylist has been doing hair, the more the cost of the service...........or if they have participated in special continuing education....such as attended a color school or are certified by some fancy label or celebrity....

Is it illegal to have sex at tanning salons these days?

I used to do this all the time back in the day, but when I went into the tanning salon a few months back I noticed a sign that basicly said that you couldnt go into a tanning room with another person. This is one of my favorite places to actually have sex, since you get to rub the tanning oils up on the girl and then she comes out all toasty and dark. I'd hate for THIS to be illegal, whats the scoop? Is it illegal to have sex at tanning salons these days?
gosh, i sure hope its not illegal.

just pray that the cops won't be showing up at mine or your door anytime soon.Is it illegal to have sex at tanning salons these days?
It is discouraged for sanitary reasons. But I highly doubt that it is illegal. I once had sex with a tanning salon employee, but she wouldn't let us do it on the tanning bed for sanitation. So we did it on the front desk. lol. But that's not the point. Tanning beds are used often by many people, so having sex on them is just not a wonderful idea for business.

on your real nail. the substance then hardens and it becomes

the ';plastic'; nails that u see. the new nails are then filed and painted

to ur choice. French tip is the look that i described before. What exactly are the French Tips at nail salons?
French tips are a fake acrylic end being glued to your natural nail, then a gel coating is put over it to allow it to stay in place. It looks really nice, but can be really damaging to your nails. I use to have these and if you have a lot of money their fun to have, but for me personally I felt I wasted my money on these because they can be rather expensive to constantly get filled. I would recommend going to the salon and just getting a french manicure. Hope this helps : )
It's when the nail bed is a natural pink color and the tips are painted white
I'm pretty sure they are the fake acrylic nails with the french tip.

What salons do black women with curly hair go to in the Northwest Suburbs of Chicago?

I'm a black female who resides in the northwest suburbs of Chicago, and I'm looking for a hairstyle change. The natural texture of my hair is a combination of curly and wavy.

I have not had chemicals in my hair for over 10 years, and I'm trying to decide if I should get a relaxer, just a deep conditioner, or other. I'm making a few lifestyle changes, and my hair regime will be a part of that. I usually just wash, dry, slap a little gel on it to keep the curls down, and throw it in a ponytail.

If you are a black female in my area, where do you get your hair done, and how do you care for your hair? What style do you have? Many people tell me all I need is a deep conditioner, which I've never had. I usually just shampoo and condition at home.

In the past when I've had relaxers, they were very mild, and my hair rarely held any curls made with rollers or curling irons. It tends to poof easily which is why I use hair gel to keep it down now.ThanksWhat salons do black women with curly hair go to in the Northwest Suburbs of Chicago?
Even though this salon is a bit expensive, I would suggest going to any Aveda salon. The people at Aveda has an extensive knowledge about all hair types. Clarins

    Molton Brown

Each of the above have their own skin and bodycare products ranging from simple cleansers, moisturisers to exfolliants and specialised products.

What kind (brands) of conditioners do salons use for deep conditioning treatments ?

And how do they do it ?What kind (brands) of conditioners do salons use for deep conditioning treatments ?
34 years as a pro.We use Redken Exteme Pack under the dryer for 10 min.Go to a salon and buy a deep conditioning TREATMENTS.Shampoo hair, towel dry, APPLY CONDITIONER,PUT A PLASTIC SHOWER CAP ,or plastic wrap, and go sit in the sun ( or hold a blow dryer) on your head and then rinse.FOLLOW MANUFACTURER'S DIRECTIONS !!What kind (brands) of conditioners do salons use for deep conditioning treatments ?
    it differs for each stylist

i use a mix of redken extreme condtioner and ion spray on conditioner

you put it up in a cap and sit under a dryer for 20 mins then rince with cool water and use a leave in Condtioner
one of the best products out there for a total hair makeover is Pureology Volcanic hair mask- it heats up when exposed to air and when you put in in your hair you wait i think about 5 min then rinse- afterwards - whoa mama- you will feel sleek- incredibly shiny hair that lasts for at least two weeks or more- it is only recommended for a bi weekly use- i use it once a month and it brings back the color i had put in almost 6 weeks ago- i alwasy use this 4 weeks in before my hair sarts getting dull and lifeless-
    Don't they use Redken?

    Not sure about that... =/
I like to use a bit of olive oil and sit with a shower cap on in the bath or shower for about 15-20 minutes and rinse it out.. It's cheap and I can do it at home.... Or VO5 hot oil treatment works well...
The best deep conditioning treatment I've had at a salon was with Redken All Soft Heavy Cream. My stylist simply followed the directions on the bottle, which say to dispense as much cream as needed into the hair after shampooing/conditioning, and leave it on for atleast 5 minutes. After that, you rinse it out, and Voila! It works wonders.

They don't exist is Seoul or elsewhere in Korea. You better school yourself on Korean Culture before you go. Here's why there are none. Koreans have a class system and pecking order in their society. No one wants to appear tanned because it puts you in the lower class of people- farmers and outdoor laborers. How much do hair salons work (ie: profit, advertisement, and pay for employees)?

I want to get estimates on how many clients a typical hair salon gets per week , i know fri-sat are the busiest. Also how do owners compensate their employees i have heard of 2 different ways a) the owner charges hairstylist rent for use of the salon ie: $150-$300 per week but all the money they get from clients, they get to keep. or b) the owner gives the hairstylist a percentage of the haircuts that they make (ie: 40-60%). Which one is most commonHow much do hair salons work (ie: profit, advertisement, and pay for employees)?
i think it would depend on the flow of customers if you had a large flow of customers so you would have more and mroe stylist then the renting the area may be profitable. but in actuality most salons have like 4 or 5 people working including the owner, you have to think of rent for your building, power, insurances, payroll taxes, workers comp, sales and use tax, and so many other things that you have to pay out of the business profits it is a better choice to do the % because then you will be making more money. think about the math once you figure how many people come in on average and how much it is on average for a hair cut then break that down into precentages and add up what you would be getting and then you will see how it could be if you had 2 or 3 or even 4 stylists.

    I hope this helps.

Is there a company who buys hair from hair salons?

I know Locks of love and Wigs for Kids use hair 10-12 inches long, but is there a place who buys or accepts donations of hair that is short? Is there a company who buys hair from hair salons?
Not that I am aware of. The need long hair, not short. The reason why is because you can't really sew in short hair on a wog very well. The next reason is, the reason they sell wigs that have long hair is so people can have them cut how they want. As far as I know, they don't want short hair. Sorry! Is there a company who buys hair from hair salons?
Yes. They donate it to the cancer patients.
im not sure b/c the length has to be long so they can do something with it. just in case they mess up they have a few inches to play with. cut it, dye it, etc. the longer the better...but they should accept if people are willing to give their hair. if its your hair just let it grow out more.

What kind of straightening irons do they use? What kind of heat protection stuff do they use? What is the name of the shampoo/conditioner they use? Advice from any pros or people who actually work at a salon, please tell me the secrets%26lt;33

btw: i straighten my hair almost everyday, but not so much during the summer. i also dye my hair quite a bit.

I need people who actually work at a hair salon to answer this question.

-thank you so muchHow do you get salon hair at home?? What products do salons use? Does Anyone actually work at a salon?!?
Well first off, there are so many products on the market that not every salon will use the same ones. We use everything from Redken to Enjoy to Matrix to Sebastian to Pureology. And the ones we use will depend on your hair, that goes for shampoos/condtioners styling products etc. If you color your hair frequently, I generally recommend the Pureology line.

As for flat irons...I use a Paul Brown Hawaii, but Ive had CHIs %26amp; others in the past. (CHI Is crap BTW.) Other stylists in my salon use Paul Mitchell, Sedu %26amp; GHD etc. Just personal preference.

I would caution you against flat ironing your hair everyday...its really hard on your hair. If you do flat iron use a good heat protectant (Redken Smooth Down Heat Glide) and also a straightening balm (Redken Align)

What do Hair salons do with their old appliances and furniture when it's time to upgrade?

Do they sell thier old Hairdryer chairs and the curling Irons and all that or do they donate them to someone. or worst of all just Dump in the Trash somewhere. I'd love to get a hold of old Junk like the Hairdryer chairs and put them in a museum dedicated to beauty. What do Hair salons do with their old appliances and furniture when it's time to upgrade?
Hair salons usally put old furniture in a stroage or like garage or werehouse dumpster place. It like this really big room where salon owners can go and trade or just purchase new or used appliance and furniture. You usally need to have a license, but now a days...people will do anything to have a couple bucks in their pockets. Anyways, it will be awesome if u had a museum of beauty well because im a girl and beauty is what i rely on basically 99.9% of the time. So when u become famous, dont forget the little people like us :P!What do Hair salons do with their old appliances and furniture when it's time to upgrade?
Depending on the condition some resell and some just throw it out. :) You probably won't notice it if its dumped. Most of them have to be pulled apart. Nice idea though and good luck! :)
if you know someone who's need it donate them but if you don't know just put it in the trash and some one may be take it good luck anyway you goin to have more oportunity to win more clients and money believe me....

What is the latest method/brand/technology in hair color ';glaze'; used in top hair salons?

I just had my hair colored and I feel like my hairdresser is taking me for a ride (long story).

Now he wants me to come in again after a few days and spend $150 getting a ';glaze';.

When I asked whether he meant Sebastian Cellophane, he laughed and said ';no, that's old school';.

Can I do this on my own and what product is he referring to when he says ';glaze';?What is the latest method/brand/technology in hair color ';glaze'; used in top hair salons?
A color glaze is a product that puts shine and a color tone into the hair to help color last longer and give a shinier look. Some salons use Matrix prisms. Can you explain what color you had done and how it turned out? grylizz@aol.com . A Little Cut Up by Liz Gray in HH,Tx.What is the latest method/brand/technology in hair color ';glaze'; used in top hair salons?
that's such a rip off..you can buy a color glaze and do it yourself..plus you usually use a glaze to restore the shine/vibrant color when a a dye job is too new to redye but the shine/color is starting to fade
    don't do it.

its to make your hair shinier i think. you can do that easily at home by spraying a little hairspray, or rinsing your hair with vinegar or even lemon juice. you can also just use a shining shampoo and smoothing cream.
i'm not sure exactly, but there are glazes that are wayy cheaper than $150.

    http://www.cvs.com/CVSApp/cvs/gateway/se鈥?/a>
if you like your hair color the way it is now who cares about the glaze. if you did highlights the glaze will soften the color to a less brassy more natural color, and this you can do it yourself. its almost like a shampoo and rinse thing.

Are Fake Bake products available anywhere besides tanning salons and online?

Besides their lotions I'd also like to try their Legal Sunburn Blush and their powder bronzer :) thanks and also if you've tried their products, let me know your opinion on them! Are Fake Bake products available anywhere besides tanning salons and online?
    Boots and Selfridges have them.

They are quite good - I have tried the tanning lotion and it works quite well. No streaks - light tan. Not as dark as St Tropez which gives a dark bronze shade. Fake Bake gives you a golden colour.

There is one thing I really don't like about Fake Bake though - the cream goes invisible the moment you rub it into your skin so it can be tricky knowing what areas you have covered, so you probably end up using more of it just to make sure you applied it all over. I wish it could have been like St Tropez where you get a green tint shade when applying, making it so much easier. Are Fake Bake products available anywhere besides tanning salons and online?
    nope

Do most salons make it available to give pink highlights?

If not, what is a good, at home brand that will dye dark blonde hair light and/or hot pink. If so, where can I get it?

Thanks for help!Do most salons make it available to give pink highlights?
if it's a salon then they should have it. it shouldn't be a problem.Do most salons make it available to give pink highlights?
if you want pink highlights, i'd say dye some pink dye and go to a salon to have it done professionally.
you can get anycolor you want if you go to a professional salon. i know people who have gotten purple, some have gotten red, some blue, and i know one girl who has pink.
typically most salons do make it available to give streaks and highlites and hair colorings in every color. i dont know about any good at-home highliting brands, but u can find at-home kits at cheap places like walgreens and super walmart.
im pretty sure most salons have pink dye. my friend just got pink highlights from a salon and it looks real cool so go for it!
ya any salon will do what you want.ya one more thing don't do it at home let the pros do it for u.thats why they went to school=]
i would definatly go to a salon for that because most of the stuff you get at sally's or whatever doesnt last as long as a salon highlight. i would try say regis or mastercuts. if not if you have a paul mitchell school/salon around you i know they do them there. i go to cincinnati academy paul mitchell partner school.
i would go to the salon. cuz u might not get it as pink as u want it or it might come out lookin diff. i was just thinkin about that cuz i think it would be cute and different!!
I'm not too sure about where you can get it done professionally, but on ManicPanic.com they have every color hair dye under the sun. Their directions say ideally that you should bleach your hair before dyeing it, but you might be okay since you have blonde hair.

    Hope this helps!!!
I don't think so. But you can buy the pink hair dye and ask them to do it for you, professionally. That is always a good choice for you and your hair.

    Hope i help you (:
If the salon doesn't do it, use Manic Panic. If the salon offers it, go to the salon.

  • Can you get parts of very dark brown hair bleached to a platinum blonde in salons in one shot?

    If not, any other Options???

I need it to add contrast to my black/dark brown hair,

and possibly put manic panic in.Can you get parts of very dark brown hair bleached to a platinum blonde in salons in one shot?
I went to the hairdresser asking for exactly that. They told me they could do it, but it would damage my hair and could possibly fall out. That freaked me out enough so I went a long with all the treatments and expensive lighting procedures. In the end, I found they were just ripping me off by slowly lightening my hair by 2 shades each time.

I suggest going to your hair dresser and saying you want your har platinum blonde - you don't care about the damage it does to your hair (unless you do). They might not be able to do it in one go but I reckon any hairdresser could lighten it to a dirty blonde colour.

If you dont want to go to a hairdresser, but those do it yourself packs and slowly lighten your hair by about 4 shades each time. Start off dying it a light brown. Then wait a couple of days and dye it a blonde colour. Then wait a couple of days and go all out with a platinum blonde colour. Keep your hair conditioned between each dying session.

    Good luck!

Why is it always Asian people at nail salons?

I have nothing against Asians, it's just that whenever I go to a nail salon there are only Asain people working there. Why is that? Why is it always Asian people at nail salons?
Vietnamese is the stereotype. I think different groups find out how to make money one way and then it becomes popular. Indians are known for convenience stores and hotels, Koreans-grocery...I have no idea why and I have no idea if I'm only being stereotypical or if this is really true. Why is it always Asian people at nail salons?
They are skilled. And they aren't always Asian. My mom asked one of the workers if she was Chinese and said she was Vietnamese.

    -be happi, live well.
good question...i have no idea either...its like they come to america and the girls have to work at nail salons why asian guys do other stuff.
Perhaps it is a profession that they traditionally excel in and thought of first.
    I wonder too sometimes
good question. i think its bc it's all their family and friends they dont give jobs to others i guess
They have to find some way to earn a living.
    idk

It's like, why do black girls only put weaves in?
why does it bother you? stupid individual
idk rlly though mayb cuz it pays a lot or they are rlly skilled at art?
i hear they work for less money than most people do..

How do salons apply false nails? Do them have to file you natural nails?

I'm thinking of getting my nails done, and false nails put on, but am nervous of the procedure they use. Do they really have to file your natural nails so the glue will hold better? How do salons apply false nails? Do them have to file you natural nails?
They file your nail just enough to give it a rough feel, this allows the glue to stick. It second take 2-5 sec for each nail, but watch the technican, and watch how they apply the glue it will be uncomfortable if it touches the skin at the tip of your nail. They will then apply a bonding liquid before applying the acrylic. After they dry, they will then file the nail and smooth them, apply an oil and ask you to wash your hands. If you are getting laser or gel nails the process is a little bit longer. The fill usually last 2 weeks. How do salons apply false nails? Do them have to file you natural nails?
I've never gotten it done, but my friends have and I think the manicurists just put the false nail over your real nail. they may have to narrow your real nail, I don't know.
omg! ive done my nails like dozens of times and yes they do ';thin'; or file ur nails gown in lenghth and in thickness! but they look so cute! but after ur nails falls off make sure u put some nailpolish or something so they dont break easily cuz its weak thatz if u want them long cuz they grow like crazy!
yeah they do. it destroys your nails when u decide to take them off too. but they look nice. and u have to spend 10-20 $$ every 2-3 weeks for a fill.
they do file down the natural nail before they glue on the fake nail and apply the wrap (acrylic, glass, etc...) to give it a smooth, natural appearance. some places file it by hand and that doesn't hurt it is just time consuming. other places use a motorized file which, if not used carefully, can injure your cuticles. but there really is nothing to be afraid of. i have gotten it done once but i prefer my natural nails but it wasn't a bad experience at all.
YES they do but its done with a sort of abrasive q tip and its done with both acrylic and gel nails MAXWELL PACEY HAMILTON ON CANADA
they do file your natural nails....it's not bat at all...if your afraid it hurts, it doesn't- at all....its just fun when they play with your hands and sometimes the other manicurtists give you a massage-at least i got one when i went last time...but don't expect that cuz the salon i went to was in upstate (near albany, ny) and it was pretty expensive.....they asked for $85 for tips..but the regular price is $28.....good luck!

How much do Hairdresses make at fancy salons?

It seems like the price of a good haircut for women is going up more and more. I feel even more ripped off when I am tipping. I am happy with my hair dresser and would like for her to have a good tip but the price I pay for the hair cut seems a bit ridiculous. I am a very picky person when it comes to my hair and don't trust just anyone. However, if I found out how much they make I may reconsider finding a cheaper place. Currently, I pay $75 every 6-8 weeks for my cut.How much do Hairdresses make at fancy salons?
Depending on the salon, the hairstylist makes anywhere form 30-70%. They also may get paid an hourly rate instead of commission. I am a nail tech and I know tips are greatly appreciated. We work hard and they are a big part of our income.

You should be tipping your stylist 15-25%How much do Hairdresses make at fancy salons?
depends. probally more than i make. also i hear that some offer other things for more money. like getting naked and doing things for you. i had 1 sit on my lap and ask if i wanted to trim her hair, not the 1 on her head. she wanted 50 bucks. it was late and it was just about time to close, so i did say yes. but she wanted more money. what a con she was. i went in for a 10 dollar haircut and walked out with a 100 dollar well you get what i mean. but she was hot so it was worth it. until i had to go to the clinic. but thats a whole different story. my wife was not real happy with me. whats the moral of this story? when you go in for a haircut just get your haircut. leave the hair person alone. thanks hope this helps
i pay around $50 for my haircut. i've been using the same hairdresser for 11 years. when i first went to her it was only $15. i finally asked her a few years ago what percentage she got. she said she makes 25%-50% depending on what she's doing but then the boss ends up charging her a ';rental fee'; for working there so she probably makes less than her ';cut';.
I suggest women get $10 haircuts and colour only twice a year!!!!!!
The stylist I see charges $70 for a cut, $125 for highlights. So if I get a cut and highlights, there is $200 right there before tip.

He has been at this salon for twelve years, he has reached the point where he gets 50% of his earnings and no longer ';rents'; his chair. I have tried to figure out what his annual earnings are as well, and to the best of my knowledge, I would approximate that he is earning about $60k a year.

If your stylist pays rent for their chair and has an assistant, that is money directly out of their pocket.

    Hope this helps.

What salons carry Manic Panic Vibrant Hair Color?

I'm looking to dye my hair Electric Orange but am afraid to do it at home and on my own. I was wondering if any Salons have manic panic or special effects hair dye... Or if its even worth going to a Salon at all? Does anyone have any experience with this? What salons carry Manic Panic Vibrant Hair Color?
Salons aren't good at unnatural colours; you're not paying for quality, you're paying for the right to yell at someone else when it looks shitty

Go for SFX over manic panic, they're so much better in every way; more vibrant colours, longer lasting, just generally great

As for the method it's pretty easy, here's a great little walkthrough (I know it's for rainbow hair, just ignore the junk about sectioning and different colours) http://community.livejournal.com/dyed_ha鈥?/a>

And the 'beginner guides' section over at http://haircrazy.info/ is greatWhat salons carry Manic Panic Vibrant Hair Color?
manic panic would more then likely be sold at a more edgy hair place or sallys beauty supply(thats where i get all mine)

if u take the dye to the salon they will dye it for u all u have to do is tell them EXACTLY what all u want dyed

and as for doing it yourself its really easy, i do all mine myself and it turns out great :D

u could also have a friend help u with it if your dying your WHOLE head cuz it would be easyer to get all of your hair and not make it turn out all patchy.
haha, i love how on yahoo answers, when you say ';i DON'T want to go to a salon';, the people tell you to go. and when you say ';i WANT to go to a salon';, they tell you to do it at home. you'll never get what you want on yahoo answers. =)

but i have never heard of a salon who sells manic panic. ask a friend to do it.
i havent heard of any salons who carry manic panic.

    it's an easy do-at-home job.

just make sure all your hair is covered with the dye and buy an extra one in case you miss spots.
I would not go to a salon to get it done the best place to get it is sallys beauty suppy. Its not that hard to apply
